Custom Sawing

At Orr Sawmill we can saw your own logs into lumber on the site or back at the mill location. Being a fully hydraulic sawmill, the processing of your logs is fast and efficient. The mill can fit logs 20 feet 6 inches long by 38 inches in diameter. Custom milling prices may vary on the amount of logs being sawn or the size of the logs. We also offer mobile milling services.

Drying

We can dry your lumber whether it was sawn at our mill or your own. The Nyle dehumidification kiln on site can dry your lumber down to a stable useable form ready for your woodworking projects.

Paneling

For paneling we can make any custom size you need to match old or existing paneling, or you can pick from the common we run day to day. We make T&G with a bevel and shiplap currently. If you need something specific, we can order the knives and get it made custom for you.

Planing

Planning is available for your lumber that you order or for lumber that is brought in from your own stock pile. We can plane lumber up to 25 inches wide. We can also S4S (surface four sides) your lumber, or straight line rip it.

Live Edge Boards

We offer various live edge boards. You can view some of what we have to offer on our live edge board page here. All live edge slabs are kiln dried. The slabs listed online are priced to also include flattening. Delivery of all live edge slabs is available within 60 miles. Free shipping is offered on live edge slab orders over $2500 and within 60 miles. Wood Byproducts

  • Slabwood
    • We have a steady supply of softwood slabwood and ocationally will have a supply of hardwood. Slabwood can be delivered by the dump trailer load. And also cut up for easy use.
  • Mulch
    • We have cedar mulch chipped from the cedar off the mill, call for pricing per yard and delivery is available.
  • Cedar Fence Post
    • We have a limited supply of cedar posts every spring. The posts are 4 to 6 inches in diameter and 8 feet long.
  • Wood Shavings / Sawdust
    • We have kiln dried pine shaving for bedding and sawdust fresh off the mill. They are packaged in 4x4x4 totes bags for easy pickup and loading.
  • Firewood
    • We sell hardwood/softwood firewood 16 inches long dried down to 15% moisture. Bundle pickup by the driveway or full facecords are avaible for pickup or delivery. Call Garrett at (715-467-1531) for a quick response.
